As we attempt to move towards a more efficient world, with greater comfort and easier lifestyles, we seem to be leaving something behind: human emotion. Industrialization, efficiency, proficiency, materialism and the contradictions of capitalism have led to the rising of cities with high standards of living. An existential void takes over. A certain apathy seems to cast a shadow over human interaction. Numbness overtakes the soul and all that is left are the whispers of a silent metropolis.
