As we attempt to move towards a more efficient world, with greater comfort and easier lifestyles, we seem to be leaving something behind: human emotion. Industrialization, efficiency, proficiency, materialism and the contradictions of capitalism have led to the rising of cities with high standards of living. However, individuals are forced to sell most of their time to maintain such living standards, leaving them with little time for personal contemplation and development.

An existential void takes over. A certain apathy seems to cast a shadow over human interaction. Numbness overtakes the soul and all that is left are the whispers of a silent metropolis.
